Project Overview

During the planning of the Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Campus Revitalization Project it was noted that the existing Grounds Building for the campus had outlived its useful life and the land could be better suited to enhance the circulation around campus. In the summer of 2015, the existing Grounds Building was demolished and temporary facilities were installed for campus maintenance equipment. Working with Anderson Mikos Architects, Bleck helped to analyze the best location on the 162 acre campus for the new Support Services Building with minimal impact to the neighboring residential properties. The new service yard was thoughtfully laid out to maximize efficiencies for the grounds staff while minimizing the view from the public.
